Schedule Call for Free Classes

Class Format

All classes with the exception of No-Gi and Muay Thai, have the same structure. Classes begin with a warm-up. The professor then teaches a new technique, which the students drill afterwards. After drilling, the students roll for the remainder of the class until it is time to cool down. Men and women are encouraged to roll together in all classes.

Adult Classes

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Individuals ages 13 and up. This class is for anyone first joining Renzo Gracie Westchester. It is a co-ed class. The focus is on the basic techniques of BJJ. In order to move forward, a student must obtain the third stripe on the white belt.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Ages 18 and up. Must have 3 stripes on your white belt. This is a co-ed class for the individuals that have mastered the basic techniques of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Classes are a hour and a half in duration.

MMA Conditioning, No-Gi Grappling

Ages 13 and up. All levels. In order to attend this class, students must wear rashguards and shorts. Rashguards are tight clothing, similar to UnderArmour that protects the skin from abrasions and infections. The shorts are loose fitting shorts, such as board shorts. Clothing must be durable and flexible to accommodate the movement of BJJ. Though technique is the same as BJJ, students are required to use holds and chokes in different ways since there is no Gi to grip. The duration of the class is an hour and a half.

Kids Classes

Kids Class

Kids ages 5 and up. This is a co-ed class. Expectations for the kids class is the same as the adults. Many parents also watch on the sidelines. Classes are one hour long.

BJJ Kids, No-Gi

Ages 5 and up. Clothing is the same as the adult’s No-Gi class. While learning BJJ, kids also have the opportunity to learn Muay Thai and self-defense techniques during this class. The duration is one hour.

Women Only Classes

Muay Thai Cardio

Ages 13 and up. This is a female only class. It is a high intensity class, where women learn the techniques of Muay Thai without the combat. It consists of different forms of striking, kicks, and blocks along with kinesthetics. This is a great class for women looking to lose weight, and learn self-defense, without the full contact of BJJ.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Ages 13 and up. This is a female only class. The structure is the same as the other BJJ classes. The duration of the class is one hour.
